Are you passionate about supporting students in their literacy journey? Do you have a deep understanding of structured literacy approaches and a talent for building strong, positive relationships with students? We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Teacher to join our team and help our learners thrive!
This position commences at the start of the school year 2025 or negotiated.
As our Learning Support Teacher, you will play a key role in providing tailored literacy support to students who need extra assistance. You will work closely with classroom teachers and other support staff to design and implement effective, evidence-based literacy interventions that align with the principles of structured literacy. Your primary goal will be to empower students, fostering their confidence and independence in literacy.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and deliver structured literacy programs that are individualized to meet the diverse needs of students.

Conduct assessments and monitor progress, adjusting support plans as needed to achieve the best outcomes for each student.

Collaborate with classroom teachers, specialists, and families to create a cohesive support network.

Maintain accurate records and provide regular progress updates to parents and staff.

Build strong, trusting relationships with students to encourage their growth and engagement in literacy.
